Confusing UGC Folks

22/6/2024

As I've mentioned before, I like creating characters and stories using ROBLOX as a base and one character of mine has a unique idea that a quarter of his body is infected with a parasite that is slowly turning him into a warewolf. For a while now, ROBLOX has allowed a specific group of their userbase to create hats on their own without ROBLOX themselves uploading it to the catalog. hearing about that made me want to invest in a hat thats made with the character in mind. and oh boy...I reached out to someone at first who was willing to work on it and even made a concept art for it which is what you're seeing right now. but then later on he apologized that he wouldn't be able to do it due to personal life problems and other things similar to that. So I reached out to another who left me on read. next reached to someone else who gladly said they'll do it but forgot about me when UGC Limiteds went live. of course, reached out to another who declined my offer because they'd be worried people would make fun of him for "being a furry bait" and that I can understand. Another guy ghosted me and lastly, someone who my friend vouched to reach out to declined to make it without any reason given. The thing that I don't understand about this experience is that I approached them willing to pay a good amount of money to turn this into a reality, I'm talking like 100 bucks and more + paying off the fees ROBLOX takes from them. Yet then a group of sonic fans or [insert whatever anime show here] would show up begging to make a yet scary sonic number 85 or generic anime woman hair, and you'd see them flocking to invest time and money risking a DMCA takedown from the copyright holders despite said group not paying anything aside of the item itself, not paying to model it or pay off the fees, nothing. I genuinely don't understand how ROBLOX UGC folks function after this experience. seems like the moral of the story is that sonic fans are a threat to society.
